Korea Financial & Economic News = Reporter Kim Garam | C-G Bio, a company specializing in bio-regenerative medicine, announced on the 20th that it has signed a three-party business agreement with Seoul Yes Hospital and Seoul Yes Bio to collaborate on advanced regenerative medicine and healthcare initiatives.

This agreement is a strategic partnership in which three institutions with distinct areas of expertise—C-G Bio, Seoul Yes Hospital (which specializes in spine and joint treatment), and Seoul Yes Bio (a subsidiary of Seoul Yes Hospital responsible for advanced regenerative medicine R&D)—join forces to establish an organic cooperative framework covering the entire lifecycle of advanced regenerative medicine.

Based on this agreement, the three institutions plan to jointly build an integrated platform that spans not only joint research and technology development in the field of advanced regenerative medicine but also extends to the validation and commercialization of treatment technologies. In particular, they intend to create a practical business ecosystem where research and development, clinical trials, and commercialization planning are organically linked by pursuing joint commercialization through the establishment of a joint venture (JV) in Indonesia in the future.

Under the agreement, SG Bio will oversee the institutional and administrative support required for research and development (R&D), as well as productization and global expansion strategies, serving as a Management Service Organization (MSO) that coordinates planning and operations across all three institutions.

Seoul Yes Hospital will be responsible for clinical operations in actual medical settings, including securing patient cohorts, providing clinical consultation, and conducting on-site validation of treatment technologies, while Seoul Yes Bio will handle R&D—from basic research to preclinical and clinical trials—for the development of therapeutics and medical devices.

Based on this agreement, the advanced regenerative medicine platform will be directly applied to “NULOOK,” an aesthetic clinic in Bali, Indonesia, operated by Cigebiotech, to create a practical business model for advanced regenerative medicine.

Based on this collaborative framework, the three organizations aim to create an environment where domestic patients can receive high-quality advanced regenerative treatments in Korea without having to rely on expensive overseas medical tourism, and ultimately to lay the groundwork for the global expansion of K-Advanced Regenerative Medicine.

The companies explained that while the Ministry of Health and Welfare is currently pursuing a plan to expand the scope of advanced regenerative medicine—which has traditionally focused on rare and intractable diseases—to include general diseases and patient groups through amendments to the Advanced Regenerative Bio Act, this agreement is expected to serve as a precedent for proactively establishing a full-cycle cooperation system at the private sector level.
